Physica plasmaris ac materiae ionizatae

Physics of Plasma and Ionized Media

F-2 Branch of Graduate Doctoral Studies

Field of Study
The F-2 branch covers both theoretical and experimental research in the physics of plasma, namely: It also includes boundary disciplines such as the plasma chemistry or plasma interactions with solid matter surfaces. A development of new diagnostic methods is a part in the branch scope, as well. Some research is directly oriented to technical applications of plasmas.

Doctoral Student Conferences
From the preface of the Proceedings of Contributed Papers of the 7th Annual Conference of Doctoral Students - WDS'98:

During doctoral studies, the students have to learn how to achieve original scientific results and how to present them. Conferences WDS'xxxx (Week of Doctoral Students) have been introduced in order to create for the students the atmosphere of a typical international conference for the presentation of their results. Besides the student contributions (both oral and poster), teachers from the students' home institutions are also invited to have lectures, extending or summarizing the topics of student reports. The regular participations of graduate students and scientits from our foreign cooperating universities is also worthwhile and very valuable.

The 14th Annual Conference of Doctoral Students -- WDS 2005 will be held on June 7-10, 2005 in Prague.
Make your registration before May 23, 2005 , please.

The following Proceedings of Contributed Papers have been published:
